Vor der feierlichen Parlamentseröffnung haben in der Ukraine Anhänger für die inhaftierte ehemalige Regierungschefin Julia Timoschenko demonstriert. Das sei nicht die Zeit für eine Festsitzung. Timoschenko werden schwerer Amtsmissbrauch bei der Unterzeichnung von Gasverträgen mit Russland im Jahr 2009 vorgeworfen und ein Schaden in dreistelliger Euro-Millionenhöhe. Dafür drohen bis zu zehn Jahre Haft.
